Senior Advisor Volunteer Attraction
I work as part of the Volunteer Resilience leadership team to ensure the sustainability of FENZ’s Volunteerism Strategy 2019-29.
I am responsible for volunteer attraction strategic development and advice, data analysis and forecasting, resource creation and guidance, campaign development, advertising, social media, events, position description development, staff recruitment and leadership of a team and projects.
Additionally, I collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement volunteer support strategies.
Key achievements:
Developed a sustainable volunteer attraction model that is nationally led and regionally delivered
Proposed and implemented a national volunteer attraction surge project to address a drop in volunteer numbers. Hired and led a team of five to deliver an effective range of support to 52 brigades over four months
Increased support for volunteer brigades by 300% in 2022 from 2021
Led the development of a range of resources and guidance for volunteer brigades and FENZ support staff
Appointed to multiple working and advisory groups as an attraction, volunteer and marketing subject matter expert
Developed effective campaigns, advertising, social media and events that led to increased engagement with businesses and the general community
Built strong relationships with colleagues nationally, with external stakeholders and with volunteers
